A Different Approach to Fitness, Health, and Personal Empowerment

This one-of-a-kind system is designed to transform not only your fitness but your entire approach to health and well-being.
By combining time-tested techniques with modern insights, you'll build strength, boost fitness, and learn powerful methods to support performance, enhance recovery and prevent injury.

Using specialised stretching techniques to increase flexibility, improve mobility, and reduce the risk of injury, and the option to incorporate Tai Chi into your sessions, developing total muscle control by strengthening the connection between your brain, nervous system, and proprio-receptors.

Breathing techniques play a vital role in this system. You'll learn to access the parts of the brain that regulate the fight-or-flight response, giving you greater control over stress and anxiety, and helping you stay calm under pressure.

Self-defence is taught in a truly unique way, focused on understanding how the brain reacts under threat, and learning simple yet highly effective movements to stop an attacker instantly, regardless of size or strength. No complicated techniques, just practical, powerful strategies to help you move through life with more confidence, less fear, and a deeper sense of peace.

True health goes beyond muscle and cardio. It’s about how we think, feel, and interact with the world. That’s why this system brings together diverse elements, fitness, mobility, breathing, Tai Chi, and self-defence, into one approach, a complete system.

Sessions are held in person, either one-on-one or in small groups. Each 60-minute session can focus on a specific area, such as fitness, Tai Chi, or self-defence, or combine multiple elements to suit your personal goals.

Training Background

Self defence

I completed an advanced specialist instructor program in military hostile contact training. This was intensive training over 12 years that provided deep insights into combat psychology, particularly how the fight-or-flight response influences human behavior under extreme stress. The program also delivered hands-on training across a wide range of scenarios, including hand-to-hand, hand-to-weapon, and weapon-to-weapon combat.

Over the past two decades, I’ve trained individuals and groups from all walks of life. Drawing on both this experience and the knowledge gained from my training, I developed a new approach to self-defence, one designed not just for the battlefield, but for real life.

This system is built to perform under pressure, in unpredictable, high-stress situations where clear thinking and fast action matter most. It’s not a sport, and it’s not a traditional martial art. It’s practical, grounded, and highly effective when it counts.

Tai Chi & Qigong

I had the privilege of training one-on-one with Ken Johnson, the head of the Liang Yi School of Tai Chi, becoming fully qualified to teach Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
My Tai Chi and Qi Gong lineage follows a distinguished path:
  • Yang Cheng Fu – Renowned as one of the most influential teachers of Yang-style Taijiquan.
  • Yang Shou-Chung – The eldest son of Yang Cheng Fu.
  • Master AFC Kong – A direct student of Yang Shou-Chung.
  • Master Ken Johnson – Elevated to the position of Head of the Liang Yi School by Master AFC Kong, and former Chief instructor of The world Tai Chi boxing federation.
  • Andy Rees – Instructor Level at the Liang Yi School of Tai Ji Quan and Qi Gong.

Sessions can include:
  • Liang Yi Tai Chi Form (from the Yang family heritage)
  • Tai Chi Spear Form
  • Broadsword Form
  • A range of Qi Gong sets

Health & Fitness

My approach to physical training is shaped by a diverse range of influences, which I’ve blended into a unique system for caring for the body, what I like to call “the organic motor home.”
Rather than simply pushing through intense workouts, my method takes a smarter, more intentional approach to exercise. It’s designed to rehabilitate existing injuries, correct muscle imbalances, and prevent future issues, all while building lasting strength, stability, and flexibility.

I’ve had the privilege of receiving years of private instruction from Master John Gent — co-founder of the British Wheel of Yoga and formerly the UK’s most senior yoga teacher examiner. Through him, I gained access to a rich and authentic body of knowledge rooted in Chinese, Indian, and Tibetan yoga traditions.
In addition, my preparation to teach close-quarters military combat introduced me to modern principles of stretching, core conditioning, and stability training.
By integrating these traditional and contemporary approaches, I’ve created a training system that goes far beyond conventional fitness routines, and one that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, whether you're rebuilding after injury, improving athletic performance, or simply aiming to move through life with more ease.
